Located in Nosara, Guanacaste, Casa Milagros is a contemporary tropical residence designed to create privacy, calm and a close connection to the surrounding landscape. Positioned within the hillside terrain, the project balances openness and seclusion through carefully framed views, natural materials and a restrained architectural language.
Design Approach
The residence is organised around a sequence of indoor–outdoor living spaces that respond to the site’s topography and surrounding vegetation. Large overhangs, open-air terraces and carefully positioned openings create natural ventilation while framing views toward the landscape and maximizing connection to nature.
Materiality was approached with durability and warmth in mind, combining natural stone, timber and lightweight detailing to complement the tropical environment. The architecture aims to feel grounded within the site, balancing contemporary living with a calm and timeless atmosphere.
